CBC Cork defeated Colaiste Iosaef Kilmallock in the first round of the Dr. Harty Cup Hurling on a scoreline of 4-17 to 1-13 at Mallow on Wednesday.

CBC Cork raced in a 2-3 to 0-1 lead in the opening 10 minutes and by the interval, led by 2-11 to 0-7. Kilmallock scored a goal early in the second half via Gearoid Barry but little changed in the run of play as CBC added two further goals in the second half to run out 13 point winners.
